Its defanatly too little. There are still a ton of skills that are worthless, and a good number that are to powerful when used correctly.

In the case of the nerf affecting fc air spike. good.. it is just right.. but for warrior armors, etc.. that was excessive.

game is going downhill and fast..1 of the reasons i quit
nerfing an overpowered skill is one thing repeately nerfing PvE made the game really dull to me, hence no more account.
to those that are thinking of buying chapter 3..think wisely because this wont get any better.
Prob my last contribution to this forum, some of you will rejoice..cya!

nerfing pve? what sort of difference do the skill balances make to pve, seriously now....
Like example, Feast now costs 5 energy more, that's NOTHING in pve... that means you have to stand around for an extra 2 seconds before you can cast it. such small details won't make a difference. Let's face it, you can get through pve with 7 henchies and a WAND, you could before the update, you can after it
They nerf skills because of how they fair in pvp, and so they should too, because that's where a skill being overpowered actually means something.
The only real bad thing about last update is that they left SBRI pretty much untouched. It was, as usual, a step in the right direction. And I think with time we'll see some skill buffs. But realise that it's overpowered skills that completely change and dominate and somewhat ruin the game... the underpowered ones just don't play a part

So the stock answer to PvE people who dare to complain about how the 'balances' for PvP are affecting their enjoyment of the game is that we cant play and basically suck ?
Respectful and polite, this is why 'never the twain will meet'.

Maybe it's balanced PvP wise, but certainly not PvE wise.

QFT. Amen Kitty...
The latest Warrior nerf was excessive. I play characters across the board, not just a Warrior, and I truly believe they've castrated the Warrior. It feels like whenever someone finds a way to defeat a monster, make a run, or whatever that becomes "news," it gets nerfed. I'm not talking about exploits, but just a better way of doing something. Some will argue that Warriors were all but invincible, but that's not true. Necros and Mesmers could still do a lot of damage to them. Warriors are supposed to be tough. They're the front line and should be able to take a lot of damage. Taking that away from them just makes them another squishy. I'm surprised more monks haven't argued that this Warrior nerf will make them work that much harder.

Warriors are too easy to play in PvE - I recently played thru factions with a W/xx and seriously it was way too easy.

How much re-balancing is too much balancing? What the christ?
Did you even read that to yourself before you made the thread?
Obviously the more 'balancing' the better.

Like a lot of people, I have been playing since the world beta event, a long time ago now. I think i would have got bored of the game by now if it didnt constantly change the way it does, it keeps the game evolving and strategies adjusting.
As a Warrior, I was a little anoyed at the most recent change, but I'll get used to it. I'm just glad I wasnt playing as an Ele when the AoE change was put in.
Sometimes I wish we got a warning before the updates came into play, so we knew what was around the corner and chould have a plan to change our charecters beforehand.
All in all, I think the balancing is necessary to keep the game fresh.

Well, I've read all these posts with mixed feelings.
Oddly enough, none of the skill changes in the last update affected any of my girls. Neither did the warriior armor/shield changes since I use Sentinel's with runes and a focus (hey, it works for me!)
I can see why, at first glance, folks would get upset, though. It seems as if warriors take an unfair hit. But really, guys. If your warrior can't adapt and overcome, why do you bother playing? It's not as if Anet stripped your poor soldier naked and threw him/her weaponless into a pit with uber-vipers!
I don't PvP so I cannot speak of any way the updates affect those who do. I do agree, though, that it seems that when a build is exploited in PvP, the PvE crowd feel the backlash with cut-backs. ::shrugs:: So? All it does for me is make me rethink my method of play and find new strategies.
Although I must admit, I, too, miss the 'good ol' days' when a person could explore without tons of monsters every third step. Quantity is not a good substitute for quality, folks.
There will always be people who complain. There's no pleasing those people.

Playing since retail release of GW and watching all the patches go by, I voted Yes, it's too much.
Fine tuning for PvP has a negative impact on PvE, no doubt of it. And a lot of the player base is PvE, I think myself PvE is the majority given the relative populations at the PvE areas and the PvP areas. Make the PvE character feel lame, and you run off the majority of your game players and future chaper purchasers.
Endless PvP balancing eventually results in PvP matches that look like summer camp pillow fights. Seriously!
The more a game is "balanced" the less fun it is for the vast majority of game purchasers and the more boring it is for the vast majority of game purchasers. The vast majority of game purchasers buy a game seeking fun! They do not post on the forums asking if the game is "balanced." They do not want to be bored.
GW is no longer "hot and spicy." No more hot and very little spicy left. It is beginning to be bland, a PvP health food for the gaming elite.
